Ebb and Flow

 A life of chronic pain

is so very hard to explain. 

You laugh, you cry,

You scream and wonder why

This life you live, 

It just doesn't give. 

It takes and it takes

Until you simply break.

It's up and it's down-

It turns you all around.

You're happy, you're sad.

At times, you're downright mad.

But you live and you learn. 

You grow and you yearn

For the simple things, 

The joy life brings, 

And the love He shows

Through the ebb and flow.
